Her family rented several different homes but lived mainly in the Christensen Hotel where Ruby lives today (1980). The first telephone in Ferron was operated from there. Ruby's mother and older sisters were operators. Finally, when the Edson King home was for sale, the Hyrum Huntsman family purchased this with all the fruit trees and big orchards surround it.
Ruby met George Christensen in Ferron and married him February 21, 1921.They bought the Christensen Hotel from his mother after she could no longer take care of the property. They had two children, Maxine and Edward George. George died from pneumonia 27 January 1932. Ruby married Elden Bryan in 1933. They had two children, Gary E and Doris May. Ruby continued to run the hotel and they built a small cafe west of their home. Elden died in 1964. Ruby married Melrose Tuttle in 1966. She passed away on the 16th of December 1983 and is buried in the Ferron City Cemetery. She is buried next to her 1st husband and near her 2nd husband.
This was written by her before 1980. I copied the main points from it, from the book "Ferron, a Peach of a Town", compiled by Evelyn P. Huntsman and Roma N. Powell.
