Ted was born on February 12, 1930, in Pershing, Iowa, the son of Ted Raymond and Janet A (Williams) Wolfe. He moved with his family to Whitefish in 1936, where he attended the public school system graduating in 1949. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Philippine Sea Aircraft carrier. Upon discharge, he returned to Whitefish where he was employed by the Great Northern Railroad as a brakeman. In 1956, he was married to Beverly Jean Kassens who was also employed by the Great Northern Railroad. Ted enjoyed an active outdoor life of hunting and fishing in Montana.
He was survived by his wife, Beverly; three sons, Scott and Benjy (fiance Jan) and Jody (Jolene); two grandchildren; and two brothers, Gerald and Boyd "Pete"; Ted passed away Monday, October 13, 2003, at North Valley Hospital, Whitefish, Montana.
