Margaret Louise (Warmoth) Parks, 99, of York, SC, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday July 21, 2019. Margaret put her faith in Jesus Christ first. She was very supportive of her home church – Rankin Lake Baptist Church. She was also focused on her family. Margaret was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Her family describes her as the “rock” of the family. She was constantly checking up on her family. She hosted many family Thanksgivings and Christmas dinners. Margaret worked at Wix Filters for over 30 years. She was full of life and very active until the end. Margaret was a resident at White Oak Manor in York, SC and she was well loved by the staff there. Margaret loved going to Fish Camps and Black’s Barbeque. Margaret will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Margaret was born to the late Ocie Marie (Brakefield) and Charles Saye Warmoth Sr. in York, SC in 1920. Her husband of 30+ years, Theo “Runt” Manning Parks preceded her in death in 1973. Her daughter Brenda (Parks) Stovall and son Robert Manning Parks have also preceded her in death. Margaret was one of 6 siblings. Four siblings have preceded her in death.
Left to cherish their memories and to carry on Margaret’s legacy are her son Charles Harold Parks and wife Debbie, of Clover, SC, sister Mattie Ruth Shillinglaw of York, SC and 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday July 25, 2019 at Rankin Lake Baptist Church, 2705 Gastonia Dallas Highway, Dallas, North Carolina.
