Margaret Serena Stewart Petty, age 73. October 18, 2013 at Alive Hospice Residence at St. Thomas, following a two-year battle with cancer.
Born October 19, 1939 in Dickson, Tennessee to the late William Temple and Margaret Daniel Hicks Stewart. Retired homemaker and member of Walnut St. Church of Christ.
Survived by husband, Curtis Petty, Dickson; sons, Chuck Glass, Greg (Lynda) Glass and Tim (Amy) Glass, all of Dickson; daughters, Margaret (Ronnie) Kliewer, Cumberland Furnace, TN, Danna (Jacky) Nicholson and Katie (Tony) Jones, all of Charlotte, TN; step-children, Missy (Mike) Smigelski, Murfreesboro, TN, Mandy (Tom) Roche and Brant (Linda) Petty, all of Dickson; brother, Bill Stewart, Nashville; sister, Melissa (Joe) Curcio, Dickson; 25 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be at Taylor Funeral Home on Saturday from 2 until 8 p.m., and at the church from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Walnut St. Church of Christ, Dickson, with Bro. Steve Baggett officiating. Interment will follow in the Southerland Cemetery, Charlotte. Family members will serve as casket bearers.
