Writer and Translator. He was born in L'Aranyó (Segarra) and died in Barcelona (Catalunya). He suffered the censorship during Franco's dictatorship, that forbade ten of his books. He was one of the most prolific writers in catalan language. He is best remembered for his book of science-fiction "Mecanoscrit del Segon Origen," about the destruction of the world, and the lifes of only two survivors, one white woman and a black child. Among his works that include poems, short stories, novels and plays "Ésser en el món," "Estrictament Personal," "Totes les Bèsties de Càrrega," "Mossegar-se la Cua," "Homes i No" and the book series "Temps Obert." He obtained the Premi d'Honor de les Lletres Catalanes in 1979.
