MARK EDWIN NORWOOD
Mark E. Norwood died Saturday, Jan. 7, at the home of James Metcalf, North Hope, where he has resided for the past two years. Mr. Norwood has suffered a great deal from rheumatism in the last two or three years, and has been practically helpless since falling on the ice in February, 1909. Deceased was a son of Margaret
Young and Joshua Norwood, and was the fourth of a family of eight children.
He was born in West Camden, July 12, 1831. Since the death of his mother in
1883, Mr. Norwood made his home at various places in the county, the greater part of the time being spent with Watsop Vinal, Vinalhaven; Zebulion Lufkin, Glencove; Dr. Wakefield, Warren; and W. O. Norwood, Hope. He also lived in Connecticut about a year, returning in 1896. Interment was at West Rockport.
Deceased was the only surviving member of the family, unless his brother Joshua should be living, which is not probable, as he has not been heard from for 28 years.

Gravesite Details
Joshua A. Norwood died June 2, 1914 and is not buried at West Rockport, but in Chicago, Ill; his burial is indicated as being at University of Chicago, however I can not locate a cemetery at their campus - it is a research university.
