The Lord and Savior has called Edward Bruce Abbott, Jr. to be his loyal servant on October 17, 2013. He was born, April 10, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to Reverend Edward Bruce Abbott, Sr. and Marjorie J. (Franklin) Abbott.

He spent his childhood living in Canada residing in Windsor, Ontario and in Toronto, Ontario. He served in the United States Army, being a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was an avid fisherman and a music lover. He loved his 3 dogs Raymond, Buster and Little Lisa like his own children.

He is survived by 3 sisters, Laura Morrison, Georgia; Dianna Abbott McCreary, Barbara McNeill, brother Lloyd "Lucky" H. Hall f Surviving children, Glenda "Susie" Whittaker (daughter of Ann (Abbott) Black) Shawn E. Robinson (son of Cynthia J. Robinson) Heather E. Pond Special friends, Phillip Harrell, Deborah Harrell, Richard Brackett, David Harrell, and a host of friends.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Bruce Abbott Sr. & Marjorie J. (Franklin) Abbott; Brother, Paul D. Abbott; his 4-legged children, Troubles, Lucy and Big Lisa.

Funeral Service: at 12:00 pm, Friday, October 25, 2013 at Marion National Cemetery Protestant Chapel, 1700 E. 38th Street, Marion, Indiana with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial in in Marion National Cemetery. Visitation: will be Friday, October 25, 2013 from 10-12 Noon prior to the service at the chapel. Arrangements entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Avenue, Marion, IN 46952.
