Timothy was the son of Ed & Jean (Willey) McGinnis. He had an older brother Jeff.

He graduated from Lawrence Central High School on 3 June 1976 and left for the U. S. Army where he was in the Engineer Corps. He had joined up in October 1975 on delayed entry. He had been stationed in Germany & at Fort Ord in Northern California. While stationed at Fort Ord, Tim lived in Salinas, California.

He was married twice & was the father of two; a son, John Paul & a daughter, Lois, both from his second union.

Tim was witty, funny, kind & he would help anyone.
He is greatly missed and very much loved.
