Marvin David "Marv" Hart, 60, Kansas City North, passed away on July 2, 2010, at his home.

Marv was born March 1, 1950, in Chicago, Ill. He was a very intelligent man who enjoyed simple things. He graduated high school at the age of 17.

He met the mother of his children while in school at SIU (Southern Illinois University). Marvin earned his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and later in life his Masters Degree in Business. He worked for Fuchs Lubricants for 28 years and loved his work.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing with neighbors, playing chess and watching his grandchildren grow and learn.

Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca, Rachel and Elizabeth Hart; aunt, Katie; many cousins; and his five grandchildren, Angel, Breanna, Christopher, April, Hazel; and his best friend, Scott Firth.

Marvin was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Hart; aunt, Dorothy Broughton; uncle, John Wilson; and grandparents, Jacob and Florence Burckhardt.


Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in Freeport, Il. at Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum.
