The curtain to the stage of life opened for Brother Jeffery Wayne Watson On October 12, 1962 in Monroe, Louisiana where he was born to the late Mr. Nathaniel Murphy, and Mrs. Roberta Watson. The acts of the play of life that God granted Jeffery, he performed extremely well. On July 24, 2013 at Glenwood Memorial Hospital, Jeffery exited the stage and death closed the curtain of life and opened the door to an eternal tomorrow.

At an early age, Jeffery accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with St. Paul Baptist Church. Jeffery loved working with people and will always be remembered as the life and the comedian of any place he was present. He loved family and was a loyal and faithful servant of God and family. Jeffery loved cooking and he was an exceptional chef and people from miles around loved to eat from his kitchen.

Brother Watson leaves to cherish his loving memories a dedicated and loyal wife; Sherri Watson, one son; Xavian Pratt of Monroe, Louisiana, one daughter; Roshunda Graves of Renton, Washington; a very supportive mother-in-law. Gloria Williams of Monroe, Louisiana ; three step-daughters; Donisha Andrews (Roger), Monique Rodgers, Emboni Hamilton; all of Monroe, Louisiana; two stepsons;, Kenneth La Ron James of Monroe, Louisiana; Terrance Pratt of Shreveport, Louisiana four sisters Patricia Watson of Pasadena California, Lenora Thomson (Michael) of Berkley, California, and Alisicia Watson and Lela Dunn, both of Monroe, Louisiana. Eight brothers; Bernard Watson (Valentina) and James Dunn of Monroe, Louisiana, Nathaniel Murphy, Gwin Murphy, Sammy Murphy, Charles Murphy, Thomas Murphy, all of California; one brother Tyrone Murphy preceded him in death. He is also survived by five grandchildren, one aunt, one uncle, several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
