Monty Ray Hamilton, 78, devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, joined his loved ones in heaven Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013. Service: 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills. Monty was born Oct. 5, 1935, in Dallas to Fred Hiram Hamilton and Rosa Lee Farrar Hamilton. He grew up in Irving, where he met and married the love of his life, Beverly. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees in Vietnam and retired in 2010 from a career with the Department of Defense at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth. Monty loved traveling and vacations with the family, grandkids, and his devoted granddog, Lucy. Monty was preceded in death by his mother and father. Survivors: Those left to cherish Monty's memory are his of 55 years, Beverly; son, Mark A. Hamilton; daughter, Cathy Nine and husband, Van; loving grandchildren, Julian Hamilton, Van Nine II, Emily Nine, Elena Nine, Hannah Nine and Elizabeth Nine; great-grandson, Julian Hamilton II; brother, Maxie W. Hamilton and wife, Rene; sister, Carol Kile and husband, Willard; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
