Michael Patrick "Guru" Daley, 71, died at 1:35 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio. Michael was born on Saturday, May 09, 1942, in Lima, Ohio, to the late John Daley and Bettybelle (Gilmore) Daley.

On May 18, 1968 he married Ann Kaufman, she survives in Lima.

Michael was the former Chief Probation Officer at the Juvenile Detention Center and later retired from the Lima News as their Advertising Salesman. He was a graduate of Lima Central Catholic and attended Defiance College. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He was the District II Softball Commissioner for many years; a life member of the Elks BPOE #54 and a life member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Eagles Airee #370 and Moose Lodge #199. He was a big Ohio State and Notre Dame fan.

He is survived by: a son Kevin (Christina) Daley, of Beavercreek, OH, a daughter Jenny (Curt) Biglow, of Elida, OH, a son Stephen (Catherine) Daley, of Kettering, OH; eight grandchildren Blake Daley, Drew Biglow, Reagan Daley, Kylie Biglow, Larkin Daley, Morgan Daley, Scarlett Daley, Gracelynn Daley; two sisters Johnna Daley, of Lima, OH, and Mary Baker, of Dunedin, FL; a brother Thomas (Mary Jo) Daley, of Cincinnati, OH.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Followed by an Elks Lodge of Sorrow Service at 8:00 P.M. and then a Parish Wake Service.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 21, 1013 at St. Charles Catholic Church and Father Stephen Blum will officiate.

Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
