Charlotte Ann Dalrymple Hood, 68, affectionately known in her youth as "Corky" passed away Oct. 5, 2013, in Youngstown, Ohio.

She was born Oct. 23, 1944, in Rushville, daughter of Clifford and Dorothy Clark Dalrymple.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Hood.

Survivors include a sister, Pamela; two brothers, David and Clifford Jr.; a daughter, Deana; a son, Todd; and six grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Rushville Church of the Nazarene, 1214 N. Main Street, Rushville.

STRUTHERS – Charlotte Ann Hood, 68, died Oct. 5, 2013, at Beeghly Oaks in Boardman.

Mrs. Hood was born Oct. 23, 1944, in Rushville, Ind., a daughter of the late Clifford and Dorothy Clark Dalrymple.

She was a graduate of Rushville High School and was a homemaker. In her spare time, Charlotte loved to read, especially Danielle Steele novels.

Charlotte was a former member of the Grace Church of the Nazarene.

Her husband, Charles Hood, whom she married Dec. 5, 1974, died in April of 2008.

She is survived by her two children, Todd (Betsy) Caudill of Boardman and Diana (Michael) Seaman of Struthers; two brothers, David Dalrymple of Indiana and Clifford (Diana) Dalrymple of Virginia; sister, Pamela (Terrence) Agan of Virginia; six grandchildren, Michael (Kimberly), Nathan (Mindy), and Clarissa Seaman, Anthony and Teri Caudill, and Nicole (Ray) Harris; two great-grandchildren, Shane Seaman and Matthue Caudill; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, where family and friends will be received Thursday from 6:30 p.m. until the time of the service.

The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mrs. Hood's name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
