"WESTVILLE --- William Vander Veer, aged eighty years, a highly esteemed aged resident of this place, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Cora Pope, at 9:30 o'clock Sunday morning, January 15th. He had been ill only six days with heart and kidney trouble. His only immediate survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Cora Pope of this place and Mrs. Libbie Earing residing near Westford. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Pope with the Rev. William J. Brown, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church officiating. Burial at Westford." The funeral services of William Vanderveer, aged eighty, were largely attended at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, of last week at the home of his sister, Mrs. Cora Pope in this place. The Rev. William Brown, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated. Flowers were received from relatives, friends, Westville community and the Methodist Ladies' Aid. Burial was made at Westville. The bearers were Martin Parslow, Jay McAllister, Nellis Garlock and Ambrose Green.
