Jean M. Fromm, 68, 807 Second St., Kiel, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000 at her home.
She is the former Jean Walsdorf, born Feb. 29, 1932 in Kiel, daughter of the late Leo and Viola Rock Walsdorf. She attended grade school at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School and was a 1950 graduate of Kiel High School. On May 4, 1957 she married William H. Fromm at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel and he preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1985.
For 22 years, Jean was employed at Lake to Lake in Kiel until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein; a member of the Daughters of Isabella and a member of the Kiel VFW Auxiliary. Jean enjoyed traveling, her flower garden and spending time with her family and many friends.
Survivors include two sons, James and Marge Fromm of Kiel, Richard Fromm of Kiel, two grandchildren; one sister, Patricia and Al Hartmann of Kiel; three brothers, Daniel Walsdorf of Kiel; David and Eileen Walsdorf of Kiel; Michael and Lois Walsdorf of Kiel; one sister-in-law, Nancy Walsdorf of Kiel; aunts, uncles nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy and Stanley Walsdorf.
A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein with the Rev. Loren Nys SDS officiating. Burial will be in the SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Kiel.
