FRANCIS DIEDRICH

Francis N. "Pee Wee" Diedrich, 80, of 628 9th St., Kiel, died Friday, Nov. 7, 1997 at his home after a battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 17, 1917 in Stockbridge, son of the late Joseph and Anna Olig Diedrich. He was a graduate of Chilton High School.
On Jan. 8, 1948 he married the former Jeanette Loessel at St. Gregory Church in St. Nazianz and the couple spent nearly 50 years together. Before his retirement, he worked as a meat cutter at the Thielmann Sausage Co. of Elkhart Lake. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Kiel and VFW Post #6707. He served as an Army medic during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; their three children, Donna (Ron) Langenfeld of Kiel, Joseph (Linda) Diedrich of Sheboygan and Gary (Cheri) Diedrich of Kiel; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Sylvester (Alice) Diedrich of Fond du Lac; and two sisters, Evelyn Lubinski of California and Loretta (Joseph) Bernier of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by four sisters.
Funeral services were held at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Kiel, with the Rev. Loren Nys, SDS officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
