Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Browning Funeral Home with burial in Sylva Rena Cemetery near Water Valley. He was a Mason and a member of Sylva Rena Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a World War II Army veteran.
He leaves his wife, Geraldine Hooper; a daughter, Mrs. Judia Ann Hilton of Madison; two sons, Walter Lawrence Hooper of Jackson, Miss., and Buford Ellis Hooper of Morris Chapel, Tenn., and six grandchildren.
