She had been a lifelong resident of Grayson and after the death of her husband, an dup to the time of her death, she conducted a large farm and dairy with success.
Besides Dr. Murphey, she leaves two other sons and one unmarried daughter, who resided with her mother. The other sons are Claude Murphey, principal of the Farmerville high school, and Capt. W. W. Murphey of the United States army.
