Funeral services for Rudy Anderson held Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Dalesburg Lutheran Church, rural Beresford, South Dakota. Visitation at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford.
~~Rudolph A. Rudy Anderson was born July 5, 1917 near Hub City, South Dakota to Andy A. and Anna (Nelson) Anderson. He died April 2, 2010 at Bethesda of Beresford in Beresford, SD at the age of 92 years, eight months and 27 days.
~Rudy was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was currently a member of Dalesburg Lutheran Church. He attended country school at Komstad and Ash Creek. Rudy started farming in 1934 and had a farm sale in 1996. Even though he had moved to Beresford in 1989, he has been a farmer at heart all his life.
~His first tractor was a D John Deere and his love affair with John Deere never faded. Rudy restored a B John Deere himself at the age of 87 and loved visiting with people about the enjoyment he had doing it. His hobby of clock building and repair is legendary.
~Rudy is survived by many cousins and friends. His parents, sister, Evelyn, and a special friend, Agnes Lyckholm preceded him in death.
