She was born on August 25, 1924 in Warren, Ohio to the late Russell and Esther (Sharpnack) Stewart. Jeannette was employed as a masseur at the Mt. Vernon Y.M.C.A. She previously worked for the Mt. Vernon Board of Education, the Knox County JVS and Moundbuilders. Jeannette was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church here in Mt. Vernon. She enjoyed Jazz Music and especially Frank Sinatra. But most of all, Jeannette loved the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her daughter Patrice Shackle of Mt. Vernon; her son Timothy (Carol) Shackle of Denver, Colorado; her grandson Juston (Kimberly) Shackle of Mt. Vernon; her granddaughter Paige Shackle of Denver, Colorado; her great-granddaughters Briana Shackle and Cali Shackle of Mt. Vernon; and her special friend Ruth Shackle.
Besides her parents, Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband Howard Shackle.
There will be no calling hours. There will be a graveside service on Monday beginning at 11 a.m. at Saint Peter Cemetery in Loudonville with Pastor Mark Wildermuth officiating.
