Armstrong, 67, of Alexandria died at 1:25 a.m. Sunday in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
He was retired sales manager for Texada-Bailey Meat Co. where he worked 30 years, a Wold War II veteran and a member of the Alexandria Elks Club and St. James Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jewel C. Armstrong of Alexandria; two daughters, Carol Armstrong Thomas and Charlott Armstrong, both of Alexandria; one son, George D. Armstrong of Sunrise, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
A Christian wake service will begin at 7 p.m. today with the Rev. Christudas Nayak officiating.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday in the church.
