Bennie Buford Attaway, 89, of Pensacola, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. A Florida native, he was a WWII US Navy veteran and a member and Sunday school teacher of First Pentecostal Church. Bennie had a passion for moving homes and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Preceded in death is his wife, Pansy Attaway.

Survivors include his daughters, Diane Peak (Wesley), Sherrie Christian and Donna Cooper (Bill); six grandchildren, Kim, Robin, Michelle, Melissa, Suzann, and Kari; eight great-grandchildren, Sarah, Lydia, Philip, Samuel, Nicholas, Kaleb, and Cooper; and seven great-great grandchildren, Broc, Abby, Emma, Callie, Colton, Kinley, Asher, and Sophia.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2013 at First Pentecostal Church until services begin at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Brian Kinsey officiating. Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

Special thanks are extended to Specialty Center of Pensacola for the care provided Bennie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Pentecostal Church for the benefit of Tupelo Children's Mansion in memory of Bennie Buford Attaway.

Pallbearers are grandsons, Philip Ross, Samuel Ross, Destin Culberson, Butch Ross, Ryan McIntosh, and nephew, Leslie Everitte.

Honorary Pallbearers are Clay Ritchie, Bill Davis, Linnus Coleman, and Charles Powers.
