OBITUARY :
PATRICIA Ann SITES, 61, of Clear Spring passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

Born April 2, 1952, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of Dorothy Burnett of Hancock, Md., and the late James Alvin Sites.

Pat was a 1970 graduate of Clear Spring High School and the Vocational Technical High School Dental Assisting Program.

She started her dental career with William J. Lauricella Dental Laboratory until opening her own business as Sites Dental Lab. She received awards from the West Virginia Dental Association and the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped for volunteering her services from 2002 to 2013.

Pat enjoyed the beach and walking outdoors, and was known for her love and compassion of animals. She rescued many that came to her home.

Pat maintained a positive attitude and sense of humor even during her trying days of her life. She was an inspiration to her family, showing her strength and courage through it all.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Perry Sites of Clear Spring and fiancee, Kim Hull Blevins; sisters, Diana Rowe of Clear Spring, Brenda Palmer and husband, Dale, of Warfordsburg, Pa., Marsha Alexander and husband, Kenny, of Berkeley Springs, Rita Bernard and husband, Chris, of Hancock, Barbara McCarthy and husband, Rodney, of Clear Spring, and Deborah Barkdoll and late husband, Bill, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; a special cousin, Shirley Hull; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of life service will be Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring. The Rev. Jeffrey Hawbaker will officiate. Burial will be in Little Rose Hill Cemetery, Clear Spring.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. For the convenience of friends, you may visit the funeral home after noon.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740; or Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
