Louise Weathers McSwain, 86, of Colbert, Georgia, passed away on October 17, 2013. Born August 18, 1927 in Bowman, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John Watson Weathers and Fannie Elizabeth Whetsell. Louise completed high school and married the late Thomas Charles McSwain. She was a devoted mother and homemaker.

She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Gary Phillips of Loganville, GA, Margaret and Joel Kerr of McDonough, GA, Tommie and Terry Beusse of Colbert, GA; five grandchildren, Thomas, Tyler, Erica, Samantha, and Ali; and two great grandchildren, Kaiya and Aubri.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Sunday, October 20, 2013, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with the Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Visitation will follow at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1684 Barnett Shoals Road, Athens, Georgia 30605-3007; or donate online at www.cancer.org in her memory.
