Mrs Lyman Porter Dies
ELBA, Sept. 30.—Mrs. Lyman Porter
died on Sunday night at 10 o'clock at
the home of her daughter, Mrs. John
Kidel of this village, whither she was
conveyed from her own home about four
weeks ago. Her husband survives her,
with four daughters, Mrs. William Hale
of Oakfield. Mrs. Thomas Kingdom of
Wheatville, Mrs. Frank Pridmore of 0l-
cott and Mrs. Kidel, and nine grandchildren.
She. also leaves a sister, Mrs.
Lucinda Myers of Holley. The funeral
will be held from her daughter's home
tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Mrs. Porter was born in Canada 81
years ago, but for 32 years had lived in
Elba. She was stricken with nervous
prostration about two months ago and
since that time had gradually failed.
Hemorrhages from the stomach aggravated
her condition last Thursday,
throwing her into a state of unconsciousness,
in which she continued until her
death.
