Imogene Anderson Garrett, 85, of Orleans, died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at IU Health Paoli Hospital in Paoli, Indiana.
She was born June 22, 1928 on Patton's Creek, Oldham County, Kentucky, the daughter of William Wallace and Gertrude Muriel Powell Anderson. Imogene graduated from Liberty High School in Oldham County, with the class of 1946. She married Horace Gilbert Garrett on June 16, 1947 until his death on May 26, 1986.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Orleans Christian Church, the Orleans American Legion Auxiliary, the D.A.R. and the Orleans Lions Club.
She is survived by a son, David (Rita) Garrett of Sevierville, Tennessee, and three daughters all of Orleans, Glenda Joyce (Kermit) Lamb, Leslie (Jim) Padgett and Melissa Garrett. There are eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Two sisters survive, Glenna Felch of Versailles, Kentucky and Joyce (Harold) Magner of Shreveport, Louisiana.
The funeral will be Wednesday, August 7, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans with Bro. Thomas Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Orleans.
Friends are invited to visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m.

Memorials may be made to the Orange County Foundation for the Leonard and Janet Vaught Orleans High School Scholarship Fund.
