LeRoy G. Grossheim, 75, of 306 N. Highland Avenue, Apt. 226, Plymouth, passed away early Friday morning, May 2, 1997, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Greenbush, a son of the late Walter and Hilda Kraemer Grossheim. He attended Garfield School in the Town of Rhine. He worked on the family farmstead for a few years.
On Oct. 20, 1945, he married Priscilla Schmahl in Plymouth. The couple resided in the Plymouth area since their marriage. He was employed at Kraft Food Co. in Plymouth for ten years and for the last 35 years worked at Kohler Co. in Kohler, until retiring in 1985. He was a member of Kohler Quarter Century Club at Kohler. He was also a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and was an usher in the church. He also belonged to the Holy Name Society in the church. He was a member of Plymouth Historical Society and an assistant scout leader in Plymouth.
Survivors include his wife, Priscilla, Plymouth; three sons, David (Ann) Grossheim, Valencia, Calif.; Kevin (Linda) Grossheim, Franksville, Wis.; and Brian (Diana) Grossheim, Huntington Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Janet (David) Schram, Plymouth; six grandchildren; one sister, Arlene (Norman) Reichardt, Kiel. He was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond.
Funeral mass will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. The Rev. Wayne Bittner, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Kiel, Wis.
