Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Gowrie, with Pastor Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be at Gowrie Township Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday at the Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie.
Frances is survived by her sons, James Brown and his wife Deborah of Joplin, MO; Jerry Brown and Ray Copper of West St. Paul, MN; Russel Brown and his wife Robin of Elk Ridge, UT; daughter, Bette Patton, Bedford, TX; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and sister, Violet Anderson of Elkhart, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Axel and Louise (Lindquist) Anderson; husband, Fred V. Brown; daughter, Bonnie Eccles; and granddaughter, Becki Patton.
Frances Marie Anderson was born December 14, 1922 in Gowrie. She graduated from Gowrie High School in 1940. In 1941, she was united in marriage to Fred Brown. The couple established their home in Dayton and farmed for many years in the Gowrie area. Fred passed away in 1980 and Frances continued to live in Gowrie. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Over 60 Club, and many other card clubs.
