He died unexpectedly on 11 October 2013 from natural causes.
He married his beloved wife, Karen Lester, on 18 September 1981.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, and his three daughters, Amber, Becky, and Katy (Bryce) Nelson; his mother, Phyllis; and his three sisters, Karla (Keith) Dye, Roberta (David) Merrill, and Heidi (Rich) Kramer. He was preceded in death by his father.
His funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, 18 October 2013 at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West). A viewing will be held the night before from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services (10:00-10:45 a.m.) at the same location.
