Judson "Juddie" L. Durham
(March 21, 1931 - October 18, 2011)
Judson L. "Juddie" Durham, 80, of Wenona, peacefully passed away in his home at 711 Durham Lane on October 18, 2011 surrounded by his loving family after fighting a courageous battle against cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at St. Mary's Hall in Wenona. Father Luke Poczworowski will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Peru.
Judson was born in Toluca, on March 21, 1931 to Michael Judson Durham and Sonya Belle Faw. He Married JoAnn Foster on August 10, 1957 at St. Mary's rectory in Wenona.
He served in the U.S. Army for eight years, 1948 through 1956, serving in England and Germany during the Korean War.
Judson graduated from Toluca High School. He was an Chrysler and General Motors ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician and Co-owner of Foster Motor Sales, Inc in Wenona. Later, he was employed at PIPCO companies in Peoria for 16 years.
He is survived by his wife, three sons; (twins) Michael, Wenona, Il, Mark (Tammie), Varna, and Jamie (Rhonda), Wenona, and three daughters; Juli (Buzz) Buckles, Cheyenne, WY, Jan (Bernie) Stehl, Magnolia, Il, and Jodi (David) Gerjets, Toluca, Il.
He has five grandsons and four granddaughters, two great-grandsons, and two great-granddaughters
He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces.
Memorials may be directed to the family, Wenona Fire Department, or Wenona Ambulance.
