Jessie Phyllis McQuivey, 83, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 in Springville, Utah. She was born on August 8, 1930 in Monroe, Utah, to Clarence Larsen and Marjorie McComb Larsen. She was the wife of the late Ted C. McQuivey.

Our mother always put her family first. It seemed she always had her hands busy. She was a wonderful cook. Both meals and sweet treats were shared with not only family but also many friends, neighbors and extended family. For many years she enjoyed bowling and was in a league with dad and friends. She also worked at many different jobs in her life such as a nurse, lunch lady, maid at the Sage Inn, and Quality Cleaners where she made many new friends and associated with her old friends. In her later years the cookies and bread became store bought, but she kept busy picking up sticks in the yard, as she and dad always wanted the yard to look nice.

She is survived by her children, Mike McQuivey, Lynn (Peggy) McQuivey, Marjorie Draper, and Ryan McQuivey; 19 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn McCarvel.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lynn Larsen, Rod Larsen, Mark Larsen; and her beloved husband, Ted.

A special thank you to all of the staff of Alpha Omega Hospice for their help with our mother.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 19th at 11:00 am at the Spring Creek 2nd Ward, 400 East 350 North, Springville, Utah. Visitations will be held at the same location on Friday, October 18th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and prior to services on Saturday, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment in Springville Evergreen Cemetery
