Roger Dale Baldwin, 70 of Lenoir, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital, Lenoir.
Born July 28, 1943 in Caldwell County, he was the son of the late David Henry Baldwin, and Lois Deal Baldwin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, David Henry Baldwin Jr. Mr. Baldwin was a member of Zack's Fork Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia "Pat" Baldwin of the home; son Chris Baldwin of Lenoir; two daughters, Aimee Baldwin Libera and husband Mitch of Lenoir, and Jamie Baldwin Bowlin and husband Wayne of Lenoir; the love of his life his grandchildren, Jakob Barlow, Alyssa Bowlin and Katherine Libera; one brother, Gary Baldwin of Hudson; three sisters, Wanda Johnson of Lenoir, Marilyn Cardwell of Hudson, and Evelyn Barnes of Lenoir; a number of special nieces and nephews also surviving; a sister-in-law, Beulah Hayes and husband Ken of Boone, NC. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 18, 2013, 3:00 p.m. at Zack's Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Borders and Rev. Chad Baldwin officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Charlie Shatley, Charles Kincaid, Jeff and Greg Whittington, Mike Moffitt, and Barry Warren. Bass-Smith Granite was in charge of arrangements.
