Ronnie Carl Sherman Jr. 58 of Terrell, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday October 15, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services celebrating Ronnie's life will be held 10:00A.M. Friday October 18, 2013 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Terrell, TX, under the direction of Ingram Funeral Home, Quinlan, with Rev. Billy Martin officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 at Ingram Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors will be at DFW National Cemetery Monday October 21 at 10:30a.m.
Pallbearers: Shane Wood, Tim Wood, Bryan Chaney, Raymond Chaney, Sammy Keils, Larry Keils and Bodie Johnson.
Ronnie was born February 1, 1955 in Dallas, TX. He was raised and attended school in Mesquite, TX. He is the son of the Ronnie Carl Sherman Sr. and the late Nelda J. Hogue Sherman. Ronnie served in the US Army from June 1975 - January 1977. He moved to Terrell in 2001 and married Connie Irene Tipping on June 12, 2004. His sister Brenda D. Turner also preceded him in death on December 12, 1988. Ronnie worked 20 years at a Heating & A/C Co. in Pleasant Grove. His hobbies included Facebooking, NASCAR Dale Earnhardt, wood working, RC Airplanes, collecting trains and puzzles.
He is loved and will be missed by his wife Connie; father, Ronnie Carl Sherman Sr. of Wills Point, TX; son, William Carl Sherman of Terrell, TX; daughter Tammy Sue Erwin & husband Mark of Aubrey, TX; step-son, Samuel Thomas Boyd & wife Jessica of Terrell, TX; brothers, Kenneth & James Sherman both of Wills Point, TX, Charles Sherman & wife Phyllis of Gainesville, FL; sisters, Sandra J. Chaney of Wills Point, TX, Elizabeth A. Doughty & husband Willie of Murry, KY; 2 grand children, Aspen N. Sherman of Denton, TX and Kaylee P. Ervin of Aubrey, TX.
