Sherry K. Parker, 72, of Hartshorne, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital in Tulsa. Born Aug. 21, 1941, in Gainesville, Mo., she was the daughter of Delzon and Maxine (Shaw) Dennison. She was raised in New Mexico and attended school in Magdalena. She married Bobby Joe Parker Sr. on Nov. 19, 1966, in Roswell, N.M. She was a homemaker most of her life and raised five kids. She worked for Oklahoma Aerotronics in Hartshorne and Rockwell in McAlester. She was a member of Pittsburg County Women's Republican Party in the 1980s and 1990s. She was a proud Irish/Okie. She was an avid bowler for years and enjoyed cooking for anyone who came to the house. Later in life she loved watching her grandkids play sports, especially baseball. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Parker Sr., of the home; children and spouses, Walker and Tina Stewart, of Arpelar, Joann and Jimmy Williams, of Jenks, Steve and Karol Parker, Wichita Falls, Texas, Stacy Parker, of Ardmore, and Bobby Parker Jr. and Pam Scrivner, of Hartshorne; mother, Maxine Shanerman, Nixa, Mo. Also, 13 grandchildren and spouses, Jeremy and Allie Stewart, Brandie and Andy Zambit, Joshua and Ashley Stewart, Jesse and Ashley Stewart, Cory and Holly Parker, Brian Burnham, Dylan Parker, Kayla Parker, Chelsea Stewart, Tyler Parker, Chase Parker, Chance Parker and Conner Stewart; two great-grandchildren, Colby and Ashton Stewart, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Delzon Dennison; grandparents, Florence and Joseph Dennison, and Merle and Robert Shaw, and an uncle, Irle Dennison. A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Brumley-Mills Chapel in Hartshorne. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne.
