A celebration of the life of Dr. Wesley Dean Reeves will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, LA. The Rev. Rolly Walker will officiate.
Dr. Reeves was born October 2, 1948 to J.E. Reeves, Jr. and Laverne Rea Reeves who preceded him in death, and died February 22, 2009 after a brief illness. Dr. Reeves was a life long resident of Ruston. He attended Louisiana Tech University and received his degree from Southern School of Optometry. He practiced optometry in Ruston for 35 years with satellite offices in Arcadia, then Jonesboro.
Known by his family as a loving dedicated husband, father and brother. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife and the love of his life, Angie Reeves; two children, the joy of his life: Wesley Dean Reeves, Jr. and Cynthia Nicole Reeves; children to whom he had the privilege to love as his own: Lindsey Elise and Thomas Christopher Stevenson and wife Robin: He is also survived by his twin brother and sister-in-law: Gene and Alicia Reeves; sister: Reita Reeves; nieces: Allison Granger and husband David; Angie Johnson and husband Matt; nephew: Jared Reeves; 3 great nephews, and 2 great nieces.
Pallbearers will be David Granger, Matt Johnson, Michael Cantwell, John Hinton, Wesley Reeves Jr, Thomas Stevenson, Gene Reeves, and Jared Reeves.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 24 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 Corinthians 5:1.
