BURLINGTON - Ollie Mae Evans, 80, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Twin Lakes Health Care after one month of failing health and two weeks critical illness.

She was born in Alamance County and was the daughter of the late Jessie Vance and Gladys Idell Simpson Evans.
She is survived by her sisters, Marie Fuller of Burlington, Nannie Newell of Gibsonville, Mary Putnam and Geneva King, both of Burlington; brother, Buddy Evans of Caswell County; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Evelyn Louise Evans Hayden; and a brother, William Monroe Evans.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. David Cartner with interment to follow in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of her sister, Nannie Newell, 509 Springwood Ave., Gibsonville.

The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the nurses and staff at Twin Lakes Health Care, Hospice of Alamance-Caswell and Dr. Letvak for taking such good care of Mrs. Evans.
