Scott F. Fisher, 53, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 in Newcastle, Wyoming. He was born February 28, 1960 in Rapid City, South Dakota the son of Owen and Lois (Haskell) Fisher. He attended school in both Rapid City and Hill City, South Dakota.
He married Kim Bintliff at Elkhorn Springs, SD on July 2, 1988. The couple lived in Newcastle, Wyoming where Scott was a Heavy Equipment Operator for a coal mine near Gillette, Wyoming. Although they lived in Newcastle, Hill City was always considered home.
Scott loved his family and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing which was his passion. Surviving him are his wife Kim; mother Lois Fisher and step-father Rob Kinney; Brother Tim & Rhonda Fisher; his children and grand children Erica (Jay, Mitchell and Bryce), Luke & Sarah (Kaitlyn, Tristin and Tracin), and Garett & Chelsee; as well as his nieces, nephews and extended family.
Memorial services are planned for 10:00 AM Monday, October 7th at Serenity Springs Funeral Chapel in Rapid City with Deacon Pat Coy officiating. Honorary bearers are Todd Morgan, Steve Hartel, Tim and Mike Fisher. A reception will be held following services at the senior center in Hill City, SD.
His ashes will be resting, overlooking Sheridan Lake, he will be joining his father, Owen, son, Owen, brother Mark and nephew, Zack.
