Burns suffered as she lay, an invalid, in her blazing home were fatal early Wednesday to Mrs. Florence Withrow, 49, of 708 South Jefferson St.
Mrs. Withrow died in the Ball Memorial Hospital at 12:15 a.m., almost three days to the minute after she was carried from her burning home. She was confined to the home by illness when the fire broke out shortly after midnight Sunday morning.
The woman was the wife of Elza Withrow. Surviving besides the husband are seven children, Thelma, Mabel, Mary, Carl, Charles, Merl and Edna, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Cooper of Muncie and Mrs. Hattie Wilson of Omaha, Neb.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. J.O. Bayer, Friday at 10 a.m. at the Meeks Mortuary. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
