Martha Hood, 94, of Marion died Oct. 8 at Parkside Home in Hillsboro. She was born Jan. 7, 1919, in Emporia to Edward and Evaline (Roberts) Harper.
She married Charles F. "Chuck" Hood on Jan. 23, 1939, in Alva, Okla. She was an accountant and business manager for a construction business.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Hood; a daughter, Shari Guzik; two siblings, Bruce Harper and Jean O'Brien; a grandson, Michael Wheeler 115208398; and a great-grandson, Ian Guzik.
She is survived by a daughter, Charla Wheeler of Marion; and three grandchildren.
