He was born November 10, 1930, a son of the late George and Emma Salyers Vicars, and he lived his life in the Bristol area.
He was retired from Raytheon where he worked in maintenance for 35 years. He was a member of Fellowship Chapel Church in Bristol, Va. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen I. Foster Vicars, on January 8, 2005, of injuries sustained in the same automobile accident.
Survivors Include:
One son: David Vicars and wife Diane Withers Vicars
Granddaughter: Lynsey Vicars
Several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM Sunday, January 16, 2005 at Fellowship Chapel with Rev Scott Price officiating.Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
