Willard Burton was born about 1856 to Benjamin Lewis Burton and Lenora Dickinson. He married Ida Elizabeth Parkerson around 1880. In 1882, their daughter Daisy was born but 4 months later, Ida passed away. Willard was very sickly according to newspaper accounts (he most likely suffered from tuberculosis). He was not expected to survive and Daisy was given to his half-sister Emeline King Pease to raise. I have been unable to find any mention in old newspapers re. when Willard passed away, but I have to think it was shortly after Daisy was born.
