Funeral of Richard V Nairn
Funeral services for Richard V Nairn, 409 Beall St, native of Lonaconing, who died Tuesday after a major operation were held this morning at SS Peter and Paul Church with requiem mass sung by the children of the seventh grade of the school of which his only daughter, Mary Nairn, is a pupil. The celebrant of the mass was Rev Fr Boniface, pastor. The Rev Fr Joseph Nolan of Frostburg was in the sanctuary. Interment was in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were: John Smith, Rodney Smith, Joseph Holleran, A R Forney, O A Keller and A A Hebb, the latter three representing Cumberland Aerie No 245, F O Eagles, of which Mr Nairn was a member. The funeral was largely attended by friends and relatives including Mr and Mrs Henry Seiss and Mrs Kate Gessner, Homestead, Pa; Alphonse Nairn, Aliquippa, Pa; Mrs Katie Smith, McKeesport, Pa; Mrs James Smith and son, Glassport, Pa; Mr and Mrs Frank Nairn and son, Frostburg; Mrs James Eckenrode, Baltimore and Mrs Fred Rouzer, Hagerstown.
