He and his troop were captured in Arkansas and imprisoned in the Northern Illinois Military Prison. He died of Typhoid Fever there

James Blackford Robinson, son of Z. B. and Rebecca Robinson,
was born in Warren County, Tennessee, February 15, 1840.
When two years o1d, he moved with his parents to Laclede county where he grew to manhood and spent the greater part of his life.
