Christine L. Becker, age 89, a Manitowoc resident, died Thursday, April 15,
2010, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Christine was born on December 27, 1920, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late
Joseph and Elizabeth (Zimmer) Sieracki. She was a graduate of Lincoln High
School in Manitowoc, class of 1938. On June 26, 1948, she married William
"Bill" Becker at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in
death on March 5, 1994. Christine was a supervisor at Manitowoc Shipbuilding
and worked as a data key-punch operator from 1938 to 1948. She also worked at
Manitowoc Engineering company from 1968 to 1984 as a machine shop clerk.
Christine enjoyed playing the organ and socializing with family and friends.
Survivors include her children; (two daugthers and one son-in-law; one son and
daughter-in-law); three grandchildren; one sister (private); special nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Christine was also preceded
in death by one brother and sister-in-law; Joe (Erma) Sieracki and one sister
and brother-in-law: Mary (Woody) Walker.
Funeral services will be held leading with morning prayers at 9:30 a.m. Monday,
April 19, 2010, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home and continue to church for the 10
a.m. Mass at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo. Officiating at the Mass of
Christian Burial will be the Rev. Daniel Schuster with interment to follow at
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday afternoon, April 18, 2010,
at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. A prayer service
will conclude the visitation at 6 p.m. led by Deacon Alan Boeldt. The visitation
will continue on Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the morning
prayers at 8:30 a.m.
Memorials would be appreciated to Roncalli High School, Manitowoc.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the Becker family with funeral
arrangements.
