Mabel was born on September 27, 1948 in Trujillo, NM to her parents, Narciso Yara and Antonia Gallegos.
Mabel liked to crochet and was Catholic and member of the San Miguel del Vado Catholic Church and at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM.
Mabel was preceded in death by her father, Narciso Yara, husband, Adelaido Baca and son, Michael J. Yara.
Mabel is survived by her mother, Antonia Yara, daughter, Adele Baca both of Las Vegas, NM, sons, Hilario "Lalo" Baca of Chapelle, NM, Roman Baca and Krystal C'de Baca of Las Vegas, NM and, step-daughter, Elizabeth (Henry) Gallagher of Surprise, AZ, grandchildren, Damian and Tasia Yara and their mother, Salome Rains all of Las Vegas, NM, Kandice (Valentino)Treas-Mora of Santa Fé, NM, Henry Gonzáles of Las Vegas, NM, Byron and Alejandro Baca and their mother, Maria Ugarte all of Albuquerque, NM, Katelyn and Dominic Baca all of Las Vegas, NM, great-grandchildren, Michaelangelo and Raphael Leapingwolf of Santa Fe, NM, brothers, Alfonso Yara of Las Vegas, Nevada, Michael Yara and Gloria, Arturo Yara, Eusebio Yara and Mary all of Las Vegas, NM, sisters, Fedelina Yara and Al of Las Vegas, NM, Lorraine Yara of Denver, CO and Carmen Yara of Las Vegas, NM, special friends, JoAn Baca, Gloria Sena, Yvonne Baca and Margie García and numerous nieces nephews and other relatives and many friends.
Rosary services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. with Funeral Mass to be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. with both services being held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father Douglas Mitchell as Celebrant. Interment will take place at Nuestra Señora del Rosario Cemetery in La Lagunita, NM with the following serving as casket bearers, Hilario "Lalo" Baca, Roman Baca, Damian Yara, Henry Gonzáles, Byron Baca, Alejandro Baca, Valentino Treas-Mora and Steven Yara. Serving as honorary bearers will be her remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
