Dorothy Silvers, 85, of Louisville passed away Sunday October 13, 2013 at Regis Woods Health Care Center. Dorothy was born on May 16, 1928 in Stanford, Kentucky.
She was a member of Louisville Baptist Temple Church. She was a former member of Ninth & O Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her son, Michael James Silvers.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James B. Silvers; two children, Terry James Silvers (Necia) and April Lynn West (Jerry); a daughter-in-law, Donna Younger; two sisters, Louise Shurig and Mary Frease; a brother, Richard David McCollum; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Highland Memory Gardens.
