Death Takes Ernest Baber
Ernest H. Baber, 213 North D. St., died at 2:40 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since April 1. He had been a resident here since 1924, coming from Sand Creek, Okla.
A retired welder, he had worked for the packing plants from 1921 to 1954.
Born Feb. 7, 1884, at Magazine, Arkansas. he was the son of Charles and Ella Privett Baber. He was married to Sudie V. Hodges, Aug 9, 1918 at Caldwell. Mrs. Baber died May 7, 1958.
Survivors include three sons, Albert Lawrence Baber, El Cajon, Calif., Charles Ernest Baber, El Dorado, and Warren Luther Baber, Tulsa; two daughters, Mrs. Pete (Eunice Carol) Kanelakos, 1105 N. First St., and Mrs. George (Burchie Ann) Louthan, 509 N. First St.; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Walter Baber, 1513 N. Ninth St.; and two sisters, Miss Katie Baber and Mrs. Roy (Cynthia) Lindley, Sand Creek, Okla. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and two brothers, Luther and Roy Baber.
Funeral services will be Saturday 2 p.m. in the Jess Rindt Chapel. The Rev. E.E. Franklin will officiate and burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
