Judith Elaine Cloninger, 9, died Tuesday of burns suffered when a gasoline lantern blew up at a neighbor's house where she had been playing.
The accident occurred July 1. A little boy, with whom Judith was playing, ran from the house. Judith's mother smothered his blazing clothing not knowing at the time her own daughter had been burned.
Judith was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cloninger of Rt. 2.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church.
Other survivors are two sisters, of the home.
