ADOLPHUS J. WRIGHT, 82, a native of New London and for many years a resident at 830 South Buckeye street, died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Laodicea A. Woodard at St. Louis, Mo. He had long been in failing health.
Surviving with Mrs. Woodard are another daughter and a son, Mrs. Leland C. Johnson of Monroe, Mich., and Lowell D. Wright of Henrietta, Okla. He leaves also three sisters, Mrs. Emma Miller of Richmond, Mrs. Lenora McDaniel of New London and Mrs. Rufus Tharp of Kokomo.
Mr. Wright was born July 13, 1864, at New London, the son of David and Huldah Wright. He married Clara M. Woodruff on February 27, 1886. She died several years ago. He was a member of the Union Street Friends church in Kokomo.
The body will be brought to New London for the last rites and is expected to arrive Thursday. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
