He is survived by his wife of 44 years Brenda Overholt of Belleville, Michigan, three children; Scott Overholt of Belleville, Michigan, Sandy Mullins of Taylor, Michigan, Vivian Mastie of Belleville, Michigan, six grandchildren; Rebecca, Christina, Adam, Emily, Lucas, Joey, six brothers; James Overholt of Michigan, Bob (Della) Overholt of Texas, Larry (Denise) Overholt of Michigan, Rick (Georgette) Overholt of California, Daryl overholt of Michigan, Dennis (Diane) Overholt of Michigan, two sisters; Pat (Mack) Miracle of Kentucky, Ellen (Ray) Delph of Texas, brothers & sisters-in law, Wilma Randolph of Tennessee, Roy (Barb) Webb, Dewey (Janet) Webb of Michigan, Linda (Jack) Dewald of Michigan, numerous nieces and nephews, and his best friends Cherokee, and Lacy.
Samuel was a resident of Van Buren Township for 42 years. He enjoyed old car shows as well as his 2012 yellow camaro. He was an avid bird watcher who loved taking the family to the Smokey Mountains. Most of all Samuel enjoyed his grandkids especially watching his grandson play football at Belleville High School.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 1-8 P. M. and Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 10-11 A. M. followed by a 11:00 A. M. funeral service at David C. Brown Temporary Viewing Chapel, 500 E. Huron River Drive, Belleville, Michigan with Pastor Gordon Moore officiating.
